Live… Love… Leave a Legacy…

Debbie Daanen is a graduate of Kaukauna High School, class of 1974, and went on to serve her apprenticeship in several studios and color labs after her receiving her degree from MATC Madison. She bought her first studio over 28 years ago. Times were tough but Debbie built a devoted clientele who still call on her today for every kind of portrait you may imagine. Debbie's current studio has become a lovely gallery filled with many examples of her beautiful work.
Debbie shares her talents free of charge with many of her favorite charities listed below.
- The Fox Valley Humane Association calls on Debbie several times a year for charming photos of shelter pets. "Bark in the Park" and “Unleash the Holidays” are the two big fundraisers involving Debbie Daanen and the best portraits in the area.
- Community Hospice Foundation is a wonderful charity that benefits from Debbie's care. Cherry Meadows has several donated SoHo Art Prints, the Harvest Ball benefits each year from portraits taken on location and funds donated back the Hospice.
- Theda Clark Hospitals' Children's Ward has a whole wall of donated portraits of fragile preemies. These art works serve as inspiration to the mom's and dad's who wait for their babies to nurture and get well. Their new Birthing Center is a showcase of expectant mothers and newborn portraits, photographed and transformed into works of art by Debbie Daanen Photography.
- Debbie has been doing various photo shoots to raise donations for the Little Chute Windmill Committee and Kermis Committee. Debbie has recently joined forces with the Kermis Committee and is involved in several special fund-raising projects.
- Debbie has been a member of the Women Entrepreneurs of Wisconsin for the past four years and is very involved with the group and their events.
But most importantly she has earned the respect of her peers and the public for her creativity, customer satisfaction, tireless devotion and work ethic. All one needs to do is glance through her work to see the heart and soul of a gifted artist in the prime of her life and career.

Ashley Schmit, after graduating from UW-Whitewater in 2006, with a degree in photojournalism, is our second full-time photographer, primarily handling our children’s line of portraits. She and Debbie have been working side-by-side ever since Ashley graduated from Freedom High School in 2002. With a bright future ahead, she has returned to shoot with Debbie, as well as handling office tasks and the computer graphics end of the studio. Ashley, with her artistic talents, clear eye on trends, and background in journalism, has been an excellent addition to the Debbie Daanen Photography team.

Dave Andre´ is a Master Photographer from Brillion, Wisconsin. Dave has joined our creative team at Debbie Daanen Studio several years ago, but has been in the business for decades. The addition of Dave’s considerable experience, both in his photo lab and excellent portraiture in his studio, has allowed Debbie Daanen Photography to become the strongest talent pool in the Valley.
A special thanks to: Donna Wolf, Amy Van Asten (Grasshopper), Cindy Labus and Katie Vatland, who work with us on special events in and out of the studio. We couldn’t do it without you ladies!
